The goal of The Schaumburg/Hoffman Estates, Illinois Vietnam Traveling Wall Committee, Inc. is to ensure that the Memorial Day Weekend of 2008 becomes one of the most memorable and honorable observances our citizens have had the privilege to attend, since our first Memorial Day some 45 years ago. 

The “Cost of Freedom Tribute” encompasses the “Vietnam Traveling Wall”, tributary and displays of those who have sacrificed their lives during Iraq, Afghanistan, WW II, and Korea Wars. The "Cost of Freedom Tribute" also honors those that were involved with 911 and with those heroes that serve in Public Safety.

The presence of the “Cost of Freedom” in our two Villages will hopefully enhance what every resident believes in when it comes to their patriotism and loyalty to the United States of America.

The committee’s focus and objective is to provide our citizens with a respectful four day observance by placing the “Cost of Freedom” on display for all to honor.
